Foundations and international development: partnership and outcomes [WP1070]

This conference discussed the following points:

  • How can Foundations best respond to the current/recent economic crisis and the findings of the September 20-22 MDG Review Conference of the United Nations?
  • What examples of catalytic and innovative approaches to development can be demonstrated from the work of Foundations?
  • How can Foundations incorporate results-based approaches to development to demonstrate impact?
  • How can Foundations best work together with each other and other actors in the international Development System to provide additionality and maximum cumulative impact?

As a result of the conference you hosted last Autumn, Dipal Barua of the Bright Green Energy Foundation and British African have agreed to partner to offer BGEFs Solar Home System to investors and operators as a BABA Entrepreneurs Pack.
