Nuclear non-proliferation: planning for 2020 (WP1498)

Image: UN Photo/Eskinder Debebe Closing of the 2015 NPT Review Conference

Our annual conference on nuclear non-proliferation, a fixture in our calendar since 1996, has become established as a key event for the development of fresh approaches and the building of consensus on the non-proliferation regime. 2016 was the 20th anniversary of this event and the overarching theme was the priorities and strategies for the NPT Review cycle running up to the 2020 RevCon.

We asked a selection of our participants what they considered to be the biggest implication of the recent UN resolution mandating negotiations on a nuclear weapons ban in 2017.
