Vaccine literacy: building public support for a new vaccine to prevent COVID-19 (WP1791)

Wilton Park, the City University of New York Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy (CUNY SPH) and the Vaccine Confidence Project at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine will facilitate a series of short virtual dialogues that will bring together cross-sectoral experts to discuss the best way to expedite and advance clinical trials for Covid-19 vaccine candidates, through early social mobilisation and community engagement in a coordinated and timely manner. This will enable researchers to enrol appropriate numbers of participants as quickly as possible and in the longer term ensure widespread demand and update of vaccines once approved for licensure. These efforts will continue to address the impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent outbreaks.
