Conflict and Peacebuilding in Mozambique

In partnership with SSRC, the African Leadership Centre and Carnegie, Wilton Park hosted a successful webinar and dialogue on Conflict and Peacebuilding in Mozambique, in continuance of its work on peacebuilding Africa, a series of events which have taken place annually since 2015.

A persistent theme across the series has been the need to move peacebuilding beyond state and elite-centred approaches to encompass the wider communities involved in conflict, including youth and women’s networks. With this in mind, we asked some of the experts in attendance what they think the single most difficult obstacle hindering peacebuilding in Mozambique is, and how could it be overcome.
