Isobelle's current programmes include United Nations peace and security issues, conflict prevention, peace-making, post-conflict reconstruction and human rights, South and South East Asia, and the Middle East.

 

Isobelle worked as a researcher in the International Secretariat of Amnesty International covering South and South East Asia, and then as head of Amnesty International’s office to the United Nations in New York from 1976 to 1991; she subsequently co-ordinated programmes for promoting human rights, democratic transition and the rule of law in Central and Eastern Europe with the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, and later, worked with the organisation’s policy body, the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) before joining Wilton Park in 2001.
