The UK Government, together with Wilton Park, convened an expert-level meeting, with representatives of the National Coalition of the Syrian Revolutionary Forces and Opposition, to consider how the international community can support a successful Syrian-led transition process.

Participants at this meeting discussed lessons learnt on international planning for transitions post-conflict in order to understand the challenges in Syria, shared assessments on what issues we need to consider now for transition in Syria and agree a framework that could govern international support and identified priority needs for international focus and how we can help deliver multilateral stabilisation assistance during transition.
