A Global Partnership initiative to counter and leverage WMD Relevant Technologies - video playlist

In this video playlist participants discuss how the Global Partnership works to prevent developing technology being used by bad actors, and how important collaborations and partnerships are in this work. Participants also discuss the positive impacts of emerging technology such as AI can have in mitigating biological threats and the potential this technology can have for developing new antidotes and therapeutics. Participants emphasised how we are at the beginning of this technology, how the future is both frightening and exciting, and how the treaties and conventions are a cornerstone of policy, but adaption of these to the current global threat environment is necessary.

Brian Shoichet (Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, USCF), Trevor Smith (Senior Program Manager, Weapons Threat Reduction Program, Global Affairs Canada) and Dr Isaac Bogoch (Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto) discuss some key points.
