As I drove in to the grounds on Wilton Park I was immediately struck by the vastness of the surrounding estate. When I checked in to the property for my stay, I started looking around and I was amazed at the attention to detail in the architecture. From the carvings in the wooden walls, to the gargoyles found over the fireplace in the main hall, to the garden room annexed to the library. A pleasant surprise was waking up to the sunrises and being able to explore the onsite chapel filled with history.
This was the perfect setting for, and indicative of, the detail-oriented conversations we were shepherded through by the facilitators. Wilton Park is a perfect setting to host stakeholders from dignitaries to high level decision makers, not just because of its regal finishes, but for the way it invites its guests into its beauty and openness and ushers them to think outside of their day to day and to visualize out of the box solutions to complex issues.
It was a highlight of my career to be invited and I look forward to what the future holds for other engagements there. Happy 80th.
