The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) recently launched its2010 report on Human Rights and Democracy, expressing its determination to strengthen work on human rights.

In the context of the rapidly evolving situation in Libya and the concern for human rights, Wilton Park and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are holding a half day meeting with the aim of:

  • updating stakeholders on UK government activities
  • sharing information on concerns and priorities
  • ensuring that human rights considerations are at the core of UK policy development
