Globally, we are seeing major changes, opportunities and challenges in labour markets, from participation to skills, the introduction of technologies in the workplace, the impact of automation and artificial intelligence, and the changing nature of work.
This conference will bring together UK and international ministers and partners, businesses, trade unions, academics, civil society and other stakeholders to share strategies from different countries and regions. Through interactive dialogue, it will generate policy recommendations to inform policymaking and implementation, intended to build inclusive economies and growth based on fair competition between businesses, greater productivity in the workplace, job security for workers, and fair reward for hard work.
