This event aims to strengthen UK policy to support mid-market companies (MMCs) across the UK to grow and increase resilience to shocks. It will convene and empower high-growth, mid-market UK companies together with policymakers, including Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade.

The term ‘SME’ by definition includes MMCs, yet more focus is often given to micro and smaller businesses, while MMCs face many distinct challenges and opportunities. Priority areas for discussion will include optimising capital structure, data capability and leadership, skills and workforce capability, scaling technologies and AI, strengthening supply chains and growth through international business.

Recommendations and actions will focus on the UK Government, financial and other service providers, technology providers, local and regional partners, industry bodies and MMC leaders, helping to shape policy and practice.
